Moves For More Distance Off The Tee
In the game of golf, everyone is demanding more distance. Amateurs see professional players hitting the golf ball 330, or more, yards with their driver. Their first thought is that they need to get a gym membership, so they can get built-up enough to hit the ball as hard as possible. However, professional golfers are actually against the theory of building-up, as this can actually hinder their movements. There are several tips people can use to see a major improvement in yardage, and the best news is that they do not have to spend a penny on a gym membership.
The first drill golfers can do is to put their hands together, as if they were going to clap. They will now bring them to the backswing position. Once they are at the top of the backswing, they should imagine their hands coming straight down and smacking the golf ball. The second drill people should do is grip the club upside down. In other words, the hands should be gripping the club near the clubhead, while the actual grip is pointing towards the ground. They should complete their backswing, as they would holding the club in a normal manner. Once they are at the top, they should take note of the direction, in which the clubface is pointing, as well as the angle of their wrist. From there, they will want to think about bringing their hands, in the same angle, straight towards the ball. This may sound like an over the top move; however, they will notice that it actually brings the club in on plane. In addition, they will notice that they no longer make the ‘casting’ movement. With the upside down club, people will be able to hear where they generate the most speed. The loudest noise should be at the bottom of their swing, not the top.
